Teleconsultation & International Care
Approved · Version 3
Online and in-clinic formats are subject to suitability and confirmed availability.
Suitability first
Rootopathy considers remote consultations individually. A clinician may recommend an in-person examination, testing or local care when an online conversation is insufficient. Tell the team the reason for your request before arranging a consultation.
Identity, location and consent
Provide the patient’s name, age, current location and contact details. Be ready to confirm identity and consent before clinical advice begins. Tell the clinician if your location changes. Ask about the limits of remote care and whether an in-person consultation is more appropriate.
International patients
Contact Rootopathy with the country and state or region where the patient will be during the consultation. Eligibility needs individual confirmation for the clinician and requested service. An international fee or appointment request does not establish permission to provide care in your location. Obtain confirmation before paying or making travel arrangements.
Prescriptions and local care
A prescription is not guaranteed. Any prescribing depends on the assessment, consultation format and applicable professional rules. A prescription may not be accepted in another country; local prescribing or examination may be necessary.
Preparing to join
Check the confirmed date, time, timezone and joining instructions. Use a charged device, a reliable connection and a quiet, private place. Have your current medicines and relevant reports available, and ask which documents to share in advance. Contact the team if you have not received joining instructions.
Technology and privacy
Use the joining method supplied for your appointment. Ask for the appropriate channel before sending medical records. Email, phone and messaging have privacy limitations, particularly on shared devices. Discuss recording and information-sharing permissions before the consultation.
Caregiver participation
Explain who will attend and obtain the patient’s permission or appropriate authority. Agree what information may be shared. A caregiver’s attendance does not automatically authorise access to all patient records.
Connection problems
If the connection fails, use the contact details in your appointment instructions or contact Rootopathy support. The team can discuss reconnecting, another suitable format or rescheduling. A technical failure does not automatically establish a cancellation or refund; the team reviews the circumstances.
After your consultation
Before ending, clarify the agreed next steps, any local review needed and how follow-up will be arranged. Ask whether written information or another appointment is included in your chosen service. Routine messages do not provide continuous clinical monitoring.
Urgent symptoms
Use your local emergency service for urgent symptoms. Do not wait for an online appointment or message reply.
